... well, yesterday's Climactic Holocaust did not take place as predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology or any of our government agencies.
In fact, I'd characterize yesterday as 'a bit windy'. Some areas experienced power outages and winds were reported up to 125 km/h, but aside from a bit of unusual humidity the weather wasn't bad at all here in the city . We did receive some desperately needed rain last night--the predicted 5mm--but of course that's not enough to stop the fires, let alone address the dwindling reservoirs.
Our water supply, as a percentage of total capacity, is still on the front page of the newspaper every day, as well as the figure from this time last year. The gap is widening noticeably.
I have to go, now. The mutants are gathering outside the stockade again.
